Hi Clint,

Is it a straight model 14 or is there something else after the 14?

I recommend you buy a book.

Repairman's Handbook
Service Manual for Out of Production Engines  1919 - 1981
It is from the Briggs & Stratton Co.

If you go to the http://www.asecc.com site and look around you will find
a links page with parts suppliers.  I believe I got my copy from Bob's
Small Engine Supply Co. or something like that.

It covers a LOT of the old cast iron B&S engines.  For the model 14
alone it lists,
14B, 14F, 14FB, 14FBC, 14FBPC, 14FBP, 14P, 14R6 & 14R6D

a lot about the model 14
