[SEL] Governor for Chevy 350 engine?

I suspect that 1200 rpm may not be near the max power curve of the
engine.
A friend of mine is in the process of putting a Chevy 350 on a Lockheed
AL-60
airplane. It has about a 3 to 1 reduction drive between it and the prop to
get the
engine at it's max power curve at about 2400 rpm prop speed. He is hoping
for
over 2000 lbs of thrust at takeoff rpm. Airboat folks do this stuff all the
time.
