Hi Leroy,
	I am not sure if you are trying to be inflammatory or defamatory.
The executive of the NHMA are all volunteers. I doubt if any of them even
live within a convenient distance of the rally location so the idea of them
personally making money out of it is fairly ludicrous. 
As with most volunteers of a club I am sure that most of their expenses are
covered but I doubt if they even claim all of them. I know of many club
secretaries who often just wear the cost of posting things rather than claim
back a couple of dollars.
Decisions are made by the NHMA and often people disagree with them (myself
included) but you cannot deny that they are doing a hard job with no
material benefits. I am sure that they will listen to the complaints about
cost but it may be too late to solve the problem at this National which
would be a shame. It will probably still be a great event with lots of
engines and tractors but for every person who stays home or goes 'just for a
look' the event is diminished.

I shall now step down from my battery box (it used to be a soap box but I
found another use for it).
