I can't say I know much about a coil - but I tend to learn the hard way.

Engine is a Tecumseh?

No --- The engine isn't a Tecumseh - I was using the coil to run a Briggs
WI that has a 
bad coil.  I hooked it up to run on a battery & coil.  Runs nice too !

Luckly, I have another coil. But that's on my Harley.
