The term "Oil Engine" (in Oz and the UK) usually refers to engines burning
low grade fuels such as kerosene. They are usually hot-bulb type engines and
they were common from around 1900 to the 1920s. Good examples here in Oz are
Austral, Hornsby and Blackstone.
