In the preface to volume 8 he states it is the last one in the series and
it has a copyright date of 1983. In 1994 he published two more books with
the titles of "Gasoline Engines 1884-1934" and "Gasoline Engines
1919-1962." These two books are similar to the first eight in that they
consist of page after page of reprints of early advertising. The emphasis
of the 1919-1962 book is primarily the smaller air cooled engines such as
Briggs & Stratton, Clinton, Kohler, etc.
